About Me

My name is Rachel, and I am a theatre lighting designer and technician based in the beautiful Peak District. With over a decade of experience working in theatre, I’ve always been drawn to the way creativity can transform not just a stage, but how people experience a moment.

Art and creativity have always been at the heart of everything I do. Whether through lighting design or collaborative projects, I believe in the ability of creative work to connect people, spark conversation, and enrich communities. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to support and uplift artists, especially those working at a grassroots level.

That’s why I have a growing ambition to create a space that is truly community-focused—a welcoming venue that celebrates the talent of local artists and makers. I envision a vibrant, inspiring environment where creatives can exhibit their work, host workshops, and engage with the public. This space would be more than just a gallery—it would be a hub for collaboration, expression, and shared experience, set against the backdrop of the stunning Peak District landscape.

I’m excited about the possibility of bringing people together through art and creativity, and I’m committed to building something that reflects the spirit and talent of the community I call home.
